In a bizarre partnership that defies traditional expectations, Ubisoft has unveiled an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Adventure Uncovered

According to the authorized announcement, "An unusual encounter draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where rumors of banned practices and monstrous changes resonate through the obscurity." The narrative presents a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a secret sect.

The questline focuses on "peculiar tests and a monstrous enemy" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Iconic Locations and Transformations

The teaser features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer ends with a powerful sequence showing a character, probably the captive, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Prizes and Extra Features

Players who successfully complete the quest will receive an unique katana together with numerous items concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

Latest Free Story Addition

This release also adds the game's newest no-cost story addition, titled "The Mystery." True to its name, "The Mystery" also includes a new environmental puzzle that may finally shed light on some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
